Carbon Fiber Dual Intake System!

AGENCY POWER PORSCHE INTAKE SYSTEMS(Click here for more):

Are you a nonbeliever of aftermarket air intakes and think that what Porsche created for the 996 Turbo is truly the best? Well, Agency Power has developed the ultimate air intake system for the new age Porsche 996 Turbo owner. We introduce the Agency Power Dual Flow Carbon Air Intake Kit for the Porsche 996TT. The intake will fit on the standard 996TT and X50 rear deck lids. Others such as the GT2 deck lid may require modifications.

This air intake uses the factory OEM back half of the intake box which includes the fault free OEM MAF tube. What we have done is beefed up the front cover with a full carbon fiber unit which is designed to intake more air volume which is then traversed over the flat panel air filter. The biggest improvement of this box is the dual snorkel. We have built a carbon fiber intake scoop which mounts on the bottom of the left side of the engine deck lid. This scoop takes the airflow from the vented deck lid and pushes it through the snorkel piece and down into the stock air box. The purpose of this design is to increase air flow to the factory filter.

In high speed or racing conditions, the intake needs to be able to get as much air as possible to keep these turbos working efficient. This dual snorkel unit combined with our updated OEM box cover and a K&N flat panel air filter does wonders for your overall vehicle performance. These made in the USA (Arizona) carbon fiber parts are a work of art. They are clear coated and have a great finish. Included with the intake are the aluminum Agency Power badge and foam strips for a precise air tight seal from the snorkel to the box. The intake kit does not include the aftermarket drop in filter. Any of the OEM replacement filters will work with this box.

Can you tell us more about the dyno ? What other modifications this car had ? Was this a before and after dyno ? Same day etc. ?

Thanks.

From looking at the dyno sheet it looks like the runs were done within 3 hourse of each other, same day. Basically and before and after. I'm not sure if that car had any other mods. I'll try to go back and find out.

BTW, it's a Mustang 4 wheel dyno.

Do the forge boost hoses have any clearance issues with this intake?

Interesting

This product is interesting, I'm certainly curious about it, but I'm a bit hesitant to purchase.

After reading the thread below, it seems as if the product doesn't provide a power increase that can be measured on a dyno, at least thats what I took away from the thread.

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...check-out.html

Then I see this dyno, and there CLEARLY is a power increase. Does anyone else have any data logs before and after, dyno before and after, 60-130 before and after, 1/4 mile etc ?

I'm more into the performance aspect of a product, especially something in the engine bay. Can anyone provide additional data on their findings ?

Do you folks sell just the snokel in cf; i'm referring to the piece bolted to the deck lid? I have no use for the airbox as I am using a different piece.

Shouldn't. We make Agency Power hoses that work fine and I'll bet they are about the same size.

I'm sorry, we can't separate the kit pieces unfortunately. I will suggest it though!

looks like a very nice part...I am also curious about measurable performance gains vs. factory on a stock X50 or otherwise...

I have this mod. With a GT2 wing there are air inlets on both sides above the snorkels. These inlets are above the 'air stream' when the car is moving. Therefore, cooler and increased air flow directly into the air box means more power, plain and simple, it has to help, how much I don't know.

In theory the Titanic was designed to be "unsinkable" with a hull said to be inpenetrable and a crew believing she is supposed to NEVER be sank, plain and simple...

we all know what happened next.

Lesson learned: Testing is everything and measurable data is a significant key to Engineering design and subsequent testing.

I see we are compairing apples to the Titantic,

It is simple physics. How much power is the debate, not whether there is a gain.

agreed there is more than likely a gain, having been through Engineering school I know what you are saying...in fact I would hypothesize the same. However there has to be measurable data as to the part's performance where conditions do not skew that data (like other environmental factors and additional engine mods). the first test is to verify that there is in fact a gain (which I like you agree that there should be) the second is to gather the test data to suggest how much of a gain has been observed.
