What is the best 1/4 mile can 996tt with K24 turbos do?

 

As I recall, about 11.7-11.9s... Assuming total stock configuration and a good driver and conditions.

 

No, it can do much better, friend of my with tip k24, ecu, exhaust, gt2 intercoolers, headers. he did 11.6
And it can do even better with fuel and air intake.

 

11.4 @ 130+ is the fastest straight k24 car we've tuned (at least that I know of).

My estimate was best time for a stock K-24 configuration. Your friends car is no where near stock.
Hardly anyone mods with straight K-24s anymore. But I think I recall that Stephen Kasper got a low 11s with his stage 4 996TT ( which I believe had K-24s, ECU, exhaust, and headers) several years ago.

 

What else did said car have on it?

 

What boost did you get that to?

 

130 trap speed screams 10 second pass.

Is this the car that was pulling light off the tree with a 2.X short time?

i agree definate 10.9 at least.... i think i might try to get the fastest straight k24 pass.. before i switch turbos

If I am not mistaken Jamie Furman has run in the tens with a tuned K24 GT2, right?

ET is based hugely on driver skill. A car that traps 130 in the quarter mile can easily run low 10's, but few people can make a p-car go that fast. running 1.6, 60ft times puts a lot of stress on components and that is what it takes to wring out the best ET.

 

I would like to hear more about this 130mph+ on stock K24's. What else was done to the car, where was it run, is this a 6speeders car?

 

That's what I was trying to find out. I'm guessing either meth/weight reduction or a combination of the two. Also the location of the run is important too.

 

I ran an 11.06 @ 129.77 in my Gt2, stock weight, on flashed K24's, europipe, PS2's and pump 93 octane in perfect conditions at MIR. Jamie broke into the high 10's in his Gt2 with a similar set up on drag radials.
