9ff 840hp Porsche 911 to break 400kph barrier

9ff is looking forward to break the 400 kph barrier with this 840hp at Nardo on dec,12

It’s predecessor, the 9ff 9F-T6, 743hp has set already achieved a top speed of 372.1kph / 233mph at Nardo this year.

My belief is this car would have had it's head handed to it in a basket if it had participated in the High Roller Twin Turbo Shootout.

Who cares? It is set up for top speed. What is the last record you set with your 2 year project 996tt?

He´s had the most powerful 996TT in North America for the last few years, that´s what his project has accomplished. As for the records, it´s probably gonna break both the 0-200 and 0-300 km/h records. And it handles better than ANY other 996TT out there.

Maybe it would have. But when your aspect of business is making the cars reach the highest top speed, it differs you from others, and these guys are good at what they do. It would be like expecting a greyhound to compete in dog obstacle course, that’s not what they are breed for. 9ff makes cars go fast, very fast

Someone refresh my memory, but one of the board members also posted something about a 993 GT2 project being built for superhigh speed by one of the Super Tuners. Anyone else remember this?

Yes, I posted that. It was made by Manthey Racing.

That is an excellent question. It might be possible that they are using true ground effects/venturies to create the needed downforce for such high speeds. Regardless, I am impressed with 9ff. Although some of the items they offer (most notably their wheels) aren't to my taste, I'm quickly becoming a fan of them. They seemingly came out of nowhere and are already setting records, which IMO says a lot. The 233mph record at Nardo came as a big shock to me!

Yep, it was Sportec. Manthey specialize more in cornering abilities than top speed.
