I have 996 C2 with GT2 front wheel carriers and 997 turbo calipers and discs. Calipers are bolt-on, for discs you need 1,5mm shims between hub and disc. OTH std 996 GT2 discs are bolt-on.

BUT, why should you do this, because caliper is the same ( 6 piston ) and so is the disc diameter ( 350mm )...???

Thanks, I have the opportunity for a new set at a good price so thought I would renew.... no stonechips etc.

I always thought the 997 turbo caliper looked bigger?

So can run my PCCB disc but I need a shim if I want to fit 997TT caliper?

Do not run the 997tt rears on your car. They will bolt straight on but they have more clamping force due to piston sizes and the 997 rear brake bias is different than ours. I bought these for my m996 turbo and was told that the rear brake bias would be too great and could screw up the abs and I could end up swapping ends under hard braking. Not a good thing in a gt2 without the safety nannies. Fronts will be fine w/shims but rears should only be used if you have upgraded 8 piston fronts frombrembo or whatever. By the way I have a rear set of 997 turbo calipers and rotors if any one isinterested in them. They are in excellent condition and were taken off of a new 997 turbo with very few miles before he upgraded all 4 corners of his car. PM me if interested.

I believe there are members here installed 997TT brakes (not PCCb) to 996TT without any issues...Rears are bigger but fronts are as well so there should not be any biasing difference...anyone done it?

I just installed 997 Turbo Rotors and Calipers on my 996 Turbo, direct bolt on, just use the 997 bolts for the calipers and all is good.

No just fronts, as others have said, the 997 rears would change the bias.
