Excuse my ignorance......am I correct to assume your car has already been tuned for the Hitachi?
My Bosch MAF failed last week and it seems to be a better idea to do the upgrade.. Does anyone know the part number of the HITACHI MAF??

Lose the V-blow...I lost several MAFs with this box...I've lost none since I replaced it. You can't just change the MAF without changing the ECU tune.
..agreed...A saw a couple of my fellow PCA members go thru the same thing.

how did you know it was done for? just throw a code? I am getting the MAF check engine light code, plus throwing PSM and ABS at full boost. Where and which one of the Ford Mafs to get? and is this Ford as in....Ford motor company? ugh

Car wont run right on the hitachi.. you also need a jumper harness and a re tune. who ever is retuning the car can give you the part# to use. You also will need the tube that the maf bolts up to.

it sounds like you have some boost leaks as well... maybe maf... you need a good set of eyes on the car....

Ford maf are not direct replacements and require a custom bench flown tuning tube along with a housing. Not to mention the Ypipe has to be a certain shape to prevent wrong maf readings...

I had a maf blown a few weeks ago which was the result of a boost leak. The leak was discovered from one of the small hose that goes to the plenium. Boost leak was solved and maf was replaced with an OEM. running good so far @ 1.5bar
