I have a significant drop from the street to my garage (Texas standards) so when I had my new home driveway poured I built a template of my car using 2x4's. It had exact wheelbase, overhang, height, etc. I ran it up and down the surface before they left to ensure my car would make it up and down. Worked perfectly.

Transition from my driveway to the street was steep as well. I had to lay down 2x4's for the first week or so until I learned to hit my driveway from the perfect angle without scraping.

i am redo-ing the front of my driveway (road to driveway area) in the spring because i'm going to lower the car

I've had to use the 2x4 method to get other cars in/out of the driveway.
