It came as standard equipment. There are a lot of turbos that want to be a Turbo S, but are not.

As you can see from the pictures I posted, there are several places the "Turbo S" logs is present.

The gauges will not have a Turbo S logo if they are any other color than white.

I do not believe the Turbo S logo came as standard - mine does not have one there and never has had one. I believe it was an option. For reference my car was one of the last 10 Turbo S's manufactured. Or perhaps they ran out of them when mine was produced. I do have the door sill and gauge "S".

My build sheet has it as a standard Turbo S feature.

Many misconceptions on the 996 05 Turbo S. Even 6speed cuts of the 996TT at 2004. Go figure.

Here is another thing to consider - my car has the "aluminium look" package that replaces the usual "horseshoe" trim around the nav/cd holder - perhaps when that is installed the "S" logo gets deleted.

Here is an example of what you described. These pictures were sent to me back in 2005 when I was shopping. Also, I posted a picture of the Silver Turbo S window sticker.

It just not make any sense as to which cars have it and which don't. Mine has it in the gauges and on the door sill but not between the seat heater buttons. Even my dealer is at a loss. You can order as a part though which I did. It defintely was not an option you could order when you bought the car.

Bring your car to Irvine and I will show you. Before I modded my car and ran against other 996TT with X50 (at least 5), they had no chance. Not even a race. I even handed several losses to lambos and F430's.

My car when it was stock..............

larger turbos and intercooler. Different computer programming. Also stronger transmission. I thought there were some additional internal changes but not sure.
