coil packs do yours have the Stamp in top left
coil packs do yours have the Stamp in top left
there are a couple vendors selling coils made by beru that dont have the small porsche stamp in the top left of the top of the coil meaning if they are from the same manufactuer they are from a different batch or possibly different level of QC.
and from what ive seen Suncoasts dont have this stamp and the guy on Ebay selling the discounted coils doesn't either. so i am asking where did you buy yours and what did they cost and did they Have the Genuine Porsche stamp. Which is a P and Shield in top left of the flat top where the writing and part number is.
now i dont have a picture handy of either i hope someone who has some in their garage or laying around can post up a pic of them and it will help more.
Im looking for a low cost solution but i want OE Porsche coils not *white* box versions from the same manufacture that may not have met Porsche Specs.
now i dont have data to support they are less quality or possibly even better quality i jsut know OEM coils have made more power then i plan on running.

that would be great im interested to see what they can do cause were not at 1000hp im just curious if you actually gain power by putting them on or by being able to tune at our power level under 700hp
I am also interested in an answer to this question. Porsce has recently jacked up all the prices on their parts and it was my duty as a consumer to reject this action, especially in the midst of a massive recession (of course their rational was that since people aren't buying new cars, bend them over on fixing their existing rides).
I purchased a new setv from Suncoast. Who is running the Suncoast bought coils?

I believe those may have been the 1st Gen set. The 2nd Gen ones are supposedly revised ....... we shall see.

did they have this stamp on the top left cause the coils im talking about from suncoast dont have these so technically they are not even a porsche part.
Sean i know you had a conversation with akram about this your coils didn't have the porsche marking did they?

This is a perfect example of the confusion about "OEM"
OS describes the OE part as a Beru part, made FOR Porsche, with the Porsche mark. THIS IS "OE"
The other part- also made by Beru (beru is the "OEM" or Original Equipment Manufacturer") is an "OEM part".
OEM is NOT the same as OE.
The problem is that there really is no distinction anymore, since the terminology is thrown about haphazardly, and "OEM" can mean anthing from "real Porsche parts" to "any part made by any manufacturer that once made any OE part"
rant off...
