Could This Be Possible???

as mentioned, it'd be easy to make an evo this fast for a lot more money, but you most likely wouldn't have the quality of parts.
Hello,
I read here a lot but don't post much (feel a little out of place as only a P-car enthusiast but not yet an owner)
I got an evolution VIII earlier this year after deciding I was not yet ready to pick up a used 996 (the only kind I could afford).
I got an 03' leftover for $27,900 and have since spend about $3500 on modifications ($1000 was audio, the factory stuff sucked).
My transmission died due to a bad 5th gear syncro and even though my dealer knows I race my car and modified it they agree to do the work for free because I service my car with them and have built a good relationship. I feel that it does not matter what brand of car you own - if you build a good relationship with the service department they will take care of you when you need them. This is what happened for me.
Anyway, here's a pic of my car and the dyno chart... I think it's about the best car you can buy for the money in it's price range. Spending more I would pick and M3, then a 997.

His girlfriend drives one as well.... hers does 10.8s.
For the money an evo is awesome car.
I'm actually looking to buy wrx sti for the winter.... with $5000 installed i will have 450hp to all four wheels. cant beat that.
Some level-headed people here. Some insanely stupid people here.
-The Fuqqin' Quick Evo is an outright performer. Because it is made in Japan does not make it a ricer. Ricer term is overused like bling bling.
-Looks are over the top, but nothing worse than what 60% of what you guys do to your Porsche. Over the top being not necessarily a bad thing. Esp in the Evo's case where it's tested and tuned by some major R&D $$$s.
-An $85K car for a Mitsubishi is insane. You will get giggled at.
-Watching a Mitsubishi put the hurt on 911 Turbos - you will get laughed at.
-A lot of six figure car and owners who drive at the track get laughed at by little CRXs (more often than not)
I can appreciate the FQ400 for what it is. I'd personally pass on it.

Good points, Ben. The mitsu won't hurt porsche sales. Different market segment. However, I'd say the mitsu could hurt M3 sales. Closer market segment in terms of buyers age and priorities.
It was not too longer ago when people used to laughed at the idea of a $40k Toyota called Lexus.
