Will Tiptronic hinder my modding abilities in anyway? Do they make less power? Clutch issues?

Thanks.

One of the fastest 18g cars on this forum is a Tip. You will have to make more power to have more power as the Tip does suck up a little more power than a manual. You absolutely will have NO clutch issues as it is a......ummm Tiptronic!

Technically..yes. Do a search here for "vividracingtx". Plenty of Tip info.

Mr. Smellyfoot,

yes, the tip has clutch 'packs'. These will wear out as you increase HP. It's really a guess as to how much a stock tip tranny will hold consistently. Tiptronics are difficult to dyno and as a result I am not certain as to how much whp I am making bu I venture to guess around 600. Now my clutch packs needed to be replaced around the 550whp level with about 30k miles. 5k of which were at that power level.

If you want a killer straight track rocket, the tip is hard to beat.
