I wonder if log can be added to the 996 program to capture the over rev rpm? It would be a nice feature to have if your car has been modified.

Wow. If I have a flash with 7000rpm rev limit and I change gear accordingly, I would end up with ton of Type II over rev. Do I understand correctly?

here is your first quote
since a Type II is supposed to be a mechanical over-rev I am curious as to how you can register a type II by breaking traction since the rev limiter should preclude the engine from going past redline
I guess I need some english language classes as this sounds like you don't think type 2's can be caused by anything but a mechanical...the links I added provide evidence which disputes this claim...not just internet conjecture. It was you that took one sentence out of the links I posted (which you called my thread...a bit condescending as well...)
A Type 2 is an o... (from your own thread) LOL
. If you post something without supporting evidence, just your hypothesis, be prepared to be challenged...I suppose you interpret LOL differently than me.

Yes. Again, I think too much is made of this.

Some tuners reset the redline at 7400+ I can't see how an over rev or 100 to 6701 RPM is scary.
