2003 Midnight Blue 996tt

Finally got around to taking some pictures of my new toy that I picked up about 3 weeks ago. I recently lost my 09 997.2 in a bad accident and was totaled.

She's already gone through stage I surgery from Alex and James at Sharkwerks- Evoms ECU, DVs and B&M shifter. It already had a Tubi Exhaust. Up next are some coil-overs and new shoes.

Enjoy

Sorry to hear about the loss of your 7, but congrats on the TT. Alex and gang will take great care of you (as I'm sure you know). C-ya on the road!

Love the color as well, yet I'm partial to it because it is the same exterior/interior as mine.

I love aero wings. Sorry to hear about your 997.2.

How do you compare 996TT and 997.2 though? I'm curious.

Hope everyone was ok from the accident. The new ride is a beauty. Love the wing, and the interior color.

Nice midnight blue.
I have the same ex/int color without wood vent/door trim. I changed wood steering wheel to FVD and shift **** to be black. I could not stand wood trim in sport car but like it in MB.
For new shoes, try to search pic of black or matched blue with chrome edge if you like it. I have matched blue with chrome rim and loaded to gt2 height. It works great to me. Love everytime when I look at it.
GL and have fun.

Thanks everyone for the compliments and kind words

Like I stated, my 997.2 was involved in a horrific collision, where a lady driving a Ford Expedition ran a red light and t-boned my car at 40mph. I say horrific because my 3 yr old and 11 yr old were in the car, but we are very thankful and fortunate that they were not seriously hurt. As you can see from the pics, my son was sitting in the back passenger side- at the point of impact. He was in a Porsche Jr child seat and I will tell you, that seat potentially saved his life! It is a true testimony of how well Porsche engineered these child seats. My 11 yr old was sitting in the front passenger was injured (minor bumps, neck strain and seat belt burns on her neck) and taken to the hospital, but nothing serious.

The impact was so hard that the engine was ripped off the engine mounts and the block was cracked. The costs to repair the car would have been in the $85k range, but was totaled.

All in all, my kids and I were fortunate that we didn't sustain any serious injuries and in the end I got a very nice 996 tt out of the ordeal.

Also, all the previous post about which child seat to get and others complain about how expensive the Porsche childs seats are, I have living proof that you cannot pay enough money for the childs life that it holds and protects!
