NEW HFS-3 ERL Aquamist Water/Meth Injection System
I was looking around on other forums and noticed this. It is the NEW ERL Aquamist High Flow System 3. It has less features than the HFS-6 we all know and love, and is probably somewhat cheaper. It seems to be based on the HFS-6 but without some of the high end features.
They use a Fast Action Valve (FAV) as Opposed to a Flow Control Module (FCM). I am not sure of the differences there.
I do not think there is Boost Compensation on it, other than that it seems comparable. It certainly looks as good and the quality I am sure is the same.
It has the same easy installation features with plugs as opposed to terminal blocks etc.
This system is intended to replace the older HFS-1, 1s, 2s & 2d Systems.
Comparisons to the HFS-6:
The HFS-3 Does NOT:
Has anyone seen these units? Does anyone have any more information on them?

Comparisons to the HFS-6:
The HFS-3 Does NOT:
- Offset against the initial F-IDC - the F-IDC threshold % = starting point of meth flow %
- It doesn't have manifold pressure compensation
- Alter the failsafe reset period = pegged at 3 seconds
- Read "Direct Injection" pulses such as the 335i or Audi FSI pulses
- Control a MAC valve directly as with the HFS-6
- Put gain on the incoming F-IDC for purpose of having large fuel injectors running low DC. Previously, the HFS-5 has to be double pulsed
- You can run the system based on boost or IDC only
- You can program it to be single point (old HFS-1) or PWM-V mode (old HFS-5)
Has anyone seen these units? Does anyone have any more information on them?
