Tpms??

I'm going to replace my rear tires soon and am considering an aftermarket TPMS.

I remember seeing one person do an install right inside the ashtray... Any recommendations on brand, install, costs...

These 25 series tires seem so fragile. I'm always checking the pressure...

I read here that Orange is a good system to get and there was a group buy last year. Here is the link I bookmarked. I hope this help. I am debating should I do it or not since I will replace all 4 tires when summer comes.

I'm running a 25 series on the rear as well, I guess every little bump causes further air loss. I have since gone back to OEM size and the ride is much nicer now.

I just ordered mine from Amazon for $139.00 for the model P409S. It's a little more than the group buy, but that's about the best price I've seen. They say it should fit the HRE's I just put on. Now, I just need to figure out where to put the little monitor since I just installed a double DIN radio and there's not alot of room. Here's a link to that site if you're interested:

Hope this helps...

BERU brand makes one of the best TPM sensors and several car manufacters use them for their stock sensors.

Ari,

I have them on my 360 Forged Mesh8's and on my other wheels on my daily driver. Both wheels, I had to get these adaptors

I was told I didn't need any special adaptors for the HRE's. I've got an email to them to find out if they are needed.

I went on the HRE website and went to "contact us". Should hear back within 24hrs. Also, I just talked to Nigel at Orange. Super guy, BTW. He said that you just need to try the stock ones first because alot of wheels fit with stock TPMS. He said you will know the second you try and they have a set of adaptors that they can get to us quickly if needed if it doesn't fit. Also, he asked me to mention on the forum that most people are mounting the monitor in the center console behind the power windows and ahead of the cab switches in that spot. He asked to keep the power cable as long as possible since it also acts as an antenna. Alot of people find a real close 12 volt source and clip the wires short losing some RF ability. Also, he said when you clip the cig lighter adaptor to hard wire the unit, there are 3 wires, a red, green and black. He said connect both the red and green to positive and the black to the negative. Hope this helps!

They emailed me back late last night and said that the P43's shouldn't be a problem with the stock opening for the valve stems.

For confirmation on the wiring:

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ange-tpms.html
Specifically
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/2468023-post6.html

I know in the past there was an issue with fitment and the hollow turbo twists. I have solid and they fit perfect. Nigel was working on adapters before but I dropped out of the thread after mine were installed and don't know the resolution.

The Hecla model that TireRack now sells is higer quality, but the Orange has never failed. It is deadly accurate for both psi and temp.

Good luck
