Saw one near my house a little while ago - really looked beautiful. I think my ideal garage would be a CL65 daily driver, a Cayenne, an F430, and a highly modified 996tt. Oh and a truck. And maybe a track car. As my girlfriend says, my startup better make some good money, or I'm screwed ha ha.

Benz is really going insane with their cars though - I bet the SL and CL 65 really surprise a fair amount of people who don't know their numbers.

How can you say that its not a sports car its a seadan/coupe its not made to do any kind of tracking or sharp corners and it handles extremly well for its size and has a powerfull punch with ECU it can easily blow the doors off that Cobra in the video.

Very fine car.... Love it in Silver or midnight blue.

Here's a car that weighs 3000 lbs less, would be WASTED in a straight line race by the AMG but man does it sound and look like a blast - I might pick one up soon for the hills for when I'm not shuttling the family in the Turbo. Also have noticed some familiar people from Rennlist/Rennteam/FerrariChat and here lurking around the Elise boards .

Take a listen ( and look ) at this :

Not 610 hp, not 4800 lbs

Not suprised the cl65 would have passed it up at higher speed anyway. Id like to see a RENNtech modifyed cl65 vs a bolt on kenne bell cobra.

Cobra are fast are no doubt but you cant compare a coupe of that size and weight to a small and nimble and highly powerfull car like the Cobra.
