Memory Recall Buttons

I have the two buttons by the driver door sill for recalling the memory settings for the seat/mirrors etc. The problem is that you must hold the button down while everything is adjusting to the recalled position. If you let it go, all the movement will stop.

Is there a way to modify it so you just have to press it and release it and everything will adjust to the recalled setting? I find that as the seat is moving forward while I am holding the button, the space between the seat and buttons are tight and my hand gets squished. A press and release feature would be much better.

Thanks,
Z4MET

I don't think so. The CTT (04) does the same thing.

My CTT is 04' I noticed if I hold the button a little to long then I have to hold it until it is finished, if I tap the button I can release it and it finishes moving by itself?? I haven't tried it yet in my 996TT? I am the only driver so nothing ever needs adjusting.

You can program your key fob to set the positions. If you change the seat position, hit the unlock button on your fob (once programed) and your positioned will be set without having to hold the button.

True enough about the key fob, thats a good point. My problem is that I want the seat all the way back when I enter/leave the car to make ingress and egress easier. Once seated, I want the seat to move to the normal driving postion.
