Clutch chatter while moving in reverse
Guys, still getting acquainted with my recently acquired ’03 996TT X50. Is clutch chatter normal while moving in reverse, even when just engaging the clutch at idle speed? Like the engine is putting out too much power for the reverse gear ratio – I hope I am explaining this sufficiently well.
As I bought this car used I don’t have an exact list of replaced items, but the previous owner (not the first owner though…) never indicated that the clutch has been replaced. Moving forward the clutch is strong and shows absolutely no signs of slippage or fatigue.
