Found dustless pads for the C4S and TT

Guys:

Mintex FINALLY has the fronts in stock in the USA for the C4S and TT.

I have always had good luck with Mintex pads for everyday street use and they produce VERY little dust.

I have always bought mine from Mark at www.germanautoparts.com. The part number is MDB2416.

Tell him Tim sent you

Hope this helps someone out. I ordered mine today.

This really is great news. We already have sets on the way for the Porsche. Pricing will be set shortly.

We have been selling Mintex for 8 years and have been very pleased.

Great product.

Keep in mind that these are for *street use*. They are not a track pad.

Let me know once pricing is set, Mike. I am currently looking to replace my stock pads with more street-use pads as well.

The lips on my HREs will thank me.

What do you mean it's only street?

How do they compare to the stock pads on the tracks?

Are they less than track pads but comparable to the stock street pads?

Do they have them for the rear as well or is it not necessary? If no rears then what should I get for the rear to compliment? TIA

PS Tim: Your M5 trunk mat has moved on to it's 3rd owner & car!

mintex pads

You should always run the same pads front and rear (compound wise), I have used mintex for years, right along side Jurid, Textar and Pagid, PBR/Ferodo etc, etc. My only question is, are they quiet?
I have tried Mintex with O.E. rotors on a 993TT, and they squeal every so often, to the point I replaced them with O.E. pads. Hopefully this isnt the case, I would love a cost effective brake pad for my customers.

one thing i'm concerned with is the stopping efficiency...
how is it compared to stock ones?
b/c certainly it's nice to live w/o brake dust, but however safety is more of my concern.

ypshan-

The Mintex "red box" pads are not recommended for track usage.

They are comparable to the stock pads in terms of street performance and wear.

On the street, performance is the same as stock.

We have been installing the Mintex for 8 years and found that if the leading edges of the pad are chamfered, squealing is not an issue.
