I posted this in the MR thread, cars a beast, imagine what the lap time could of been had he not been off boost through that long sweeper, I bet he could of gotten another half a second out of it.

 

They mention a 320hp and I think a 360hp version. What is the stock US version rated at?

all i know is that with $15k you can get that car into the 10's at the track... and thats with a stand alone ecu, full blown turbo upgrade including fuel pump, injectors, intercoolers, racing clutch, and a regeared tranny. put the car on a little diet, add racing suspension($1700) and I think we will all have problems with this car.... I know cause my friend builds them..his is in the 9's.
He has 600rwhp plus 100 shot NOS is need.
thats scary.... Anyone in chicago know Adam and his white EVO... well if ... beware.

My buddy has about 2.5K into his and it's a solid 11 second car

 

what did he do for $2500.... do you mean 11.9s or 11.0s...

 

haven't timed it yet, but we've ran a few mid 11 second cars and stuck even. We'll hit the track on the next day, he laid down a little over 350 on pump gas w/ bad tuning. (sorry for claiming unreal times )


Full bolt ons, cams, and AEM EMS (of course i'm referring to the prices we get **** for) and no charge for installation.

 

Dont get me wrong.. Im not a evo tuner... but my friend is.... so Im around him alot.... and he busts my *** so much how our ecu's are not end user controlled(996tt)... we are at the mercy of tuners and some wanna be tuners... in any event.... I know that that ur friends car needs a more work in order to break the 11s.. just because he ran along side 11 sec. cars doesnt mean he will do 11s at the track... I kinda know cause I see it all the time what kits he puts in.... I actually ran at the track with one of his customers... and he did do 11.4 at 131mph... but that guy had alot of work into it.... about $10k..but it was on a stock turbo.... i think the simplest thing to do is to address all the issues right away... and get the whole package.. instead of a mixing and matching and going thu mightmares later... I see young guys bringing in evos to his shop cause they thought they could just buy a boost controller and a guage and be fast... they quickly find out that thats not the case.

 

his car is basically maxed out on the stock turbo. That is the next thing. I think w/ race gas and the new tune it'll easily break 11's.
