996TT vs 997 C2

Hey Everyone,

I have been researching buying my first Porsche Now In the price range I'm looking to spend it seems I can either go the 996TT or a 997 C2/C4 (used).

I do prefer the 997 headlights but don't mind the look of the 996.

So looking for opinions here...Which would you buy? Obviously you will be getting a newer vehicle so less problems with the 997 but on the other hand the 996TT is a higher end more "fun" model.

Thanks Everyone

Keith

I just bought a CPO 996 Turbo. The 997s that I looked at were higher priced.

996 TT is a Super car, 997 is not.

I'm not objective.... but this is so correct.
Don't drive a TT as you'll think the NA has some problems as it is just so much slower feeling.

This question comes up way too often. The TT is "special" in every way and the 997 is run of the mill.

Turbo drivers are a different breed. They like to feel the shove and take things to the extreme. N/A cars are never enough. I think the answer here will be unanimous. Drive em both and get back to us.

I believe both cars are great in their own way but I give an edge to the 996TT.

Which 1 would you want to be w/?

A Super Model any way you desired her.
You could leave her for long periods of time w/out her ever complaining.
You could take her out for a night on the town Friday night and expect her to give you all the same pleasure early on a Saturday morning.
You could even park another love next to her and she would still treat you like a King.

Or

Would you rather have the State Beauty Queen?

Drive the 997 C2 first is my advice!

If you do that, and still want to go with the C2 (I think you might be saying C2S rather than C2), then I guess power isn't that big of a deal to you. And you won't regret the poor ROI on mods later on...

Some people might really don't give a darn about power...but want the feel good factor of owning a newer 911. I'm not. I can't pass my dream ride, spend more and get a "run of the mill", so to speak.
