Is this a good price for fidelity platinum warranty?

The local dealer quoted $3390 for a 3 year contract. Knowing that sometimes the dealer's premium on these contracts are 50+%, I wonder if this price is about the par?

Just my opinion but I think these cars are bulletproof and reliable enough that you wouldn't need a warranty...and quite frankly, they would only offer these warranties if they were making money on it...just my 2 cents

I paid $2,400 for the Fidelity Platinum from dealer (4 year contract). I guess he gave me a break! The car is a 2004 996TT with 6700 miles at time of purchase.

Make sure you get a copy of the contract first so you can review. Most of these contract have multiple loopholes that allow the warranty comany an "out" so they dont have to pay. Just my .02.

I was quoted a fidelity bronze last week that only paid up to 2 thousand in transmission repair and 4 in engine repairs. Read the fine print, but Fidelity is supposedly a good company.

The current mileage of the car is a big factor when they formulate the service contract (extended warranty) pricing.
I would speculate that because you only have 6700 miles on your car, that helped to keep the amount low.

Understood, and ultimately it's up to everyone to decide on their own...but I would argue that we are all prone to that liability when we have a loan on the car, or have our own funds paid for in the car...

I'm just saying based on the track record of these cars, even the heavily modded ones are reliable...I wouldn't buy a warranty for a Honda Accord, nor would I for this car. Just something to consider.

My rear spoiler failed and it would have costed me $2200 to replace. That paid for my Fidelity 2yr warranty and then some.

Hmm, I think your low millage is the reason for such an excellent price.

READ CONTRACT FIRST - CRITICALLY. Then you'll realize that you should walk away.

Fidelity is known to NOT cover you when you need it, and on fraud warning lists everywhere. Do some research!!!!

And put the money in a jar for the day you might need to repair something.

What about Easy Care? They offer a selection of vehicle service contracts, the most comprehensive being "Total Care".
It would be great to get member's feedback on this company's product(s), the good, the bad and the ugly..

Are you talking about Fidelity Warranty Services or US Fidelis? Fidelity is part of the JM Enterprises family. Mine is exclusionary and lists all items not covered.
