Dropping my car off at TPC Racing next week..
Dude, I heard you were ill and I'm glad to hear that you're almost back to normal. But remember my original post was a compliment to your patience, not an attack on the length that it took TPC to complete the build. They became defensive for no reason.

Yea, I didnt mean to sound like a ****** bag. I was just explaining our position. Before i came to TPC, one of the biggest complaints was our efficiency of getting cars through the shop. We have improved significantly and I am proud of that. We are just a small shop, and yes, mike does every single engine rebuild... be it his own, a pro car or a client car.
It seems that I misinterpreted your post the same way that as Ben and Casey did. My apologies.
It's all good, I think we're all after the same goal here. Fast cars. Good luck with the finishing touches and we are all looking forward to the results which I'm sure will be fantastic.
My car is done!
Mike said it was losing power before we took the motor apart due to bad lifters (all but 3 were bad). Here are his thoughts on the first test drive:

Scott, I flashed the pump file this morning and went out for a 5 mile ride in your car. Never got over 4500 revs, half-throttle, probably .8 bar. The car is completely insane and the torque response is uncanny. Way better delivery than my 08 GT2 at partial throttle. Makes my 08 seem like its tied to a tree. Your car is completely off the hook. The turbos are so smooth, never a surge, one of the best cars I've driven....
Awesome! Go get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm pretty excited, Mike! It's been a long wait to have the car 'perfect'.
To recap:
I dynoed the car immediately after I got it and it only made 460rwhp at .8 BAR, 550rwhp at 1.2 BAR and 680rwhp at 1.7 BAR on a mix of C16 and 104 (this was all with a large crack in one of the IC's and failing lifters). *Still ran a 5.49 60-130 at 1.6'ish BAR in very cool weather.
I fixed the crack in the I/C and the power jumped to 515 rwhp at .8 BAR at TPC on 93 octane.
Then, TPC replaced the I/Cs with their new ones and re-tuned, and the power jumped to 560-580rwhp at .8-.9 BAR..still on 93. After lots of fine tuning on the dyno, it eventually made 699 rwhp on 93 octane at 1.4 BAR...still with failing lifters. Added some race gas, began tuning again and one of those lifters failed.
Mike pulled the motor, replaced all the lifters with the new versions, installed a new cam box (to replace the one that was damaged by the failed lifter), installed Pauter rods, and cranked down the head studs. Now, once she's broken in, we'll see what she really has.
This will be the first time since I've had the car that she'll be at 100%. Can't wait!
