GT3 Wing on a 996?

I test drove an '07 GT3 at Park Place yesterday. Loved it, but much less power compared to my 996tt. Was seriously thinking about moving over to it since I like the 997 body alot. I have been smitten by the GT3 aero wing (the one that is two wings connected together and fixed). I've been told that there is NO WAY this can be put on a 996 turbo. Are there any sources out there for this style wing for our 996tt's or am I just out of luck (or buy the 997)? I noticed it is available on the new 2010 turbo since it was pictured in a magazine a month or two ago with this wing on.

Thanks, in advance, for your guidance.

John

Anything can be done with enough $$$, but no pre-made ones are on the market that I know of.

I can throw money into the wind but I'd rather throw it into the direction of a manufacturer that makes one.

Websites?

I just found it at Suncoast Porsche parts for only $5385.00!! That includes a front lip spoiler and side stuff, but I just bought a PP GT2 front end so I'd like to get just the rear spoiler.

That is the OEM optional aero kit. Similar to the 997 GT3 wing, but not quite the same.

Does it come as an entire decklid or does it bolt up to the bottom of the existing lid?

That is an entire deck lid and wing, but only available with the rest of the aerokit I believe. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but you have to take the front spoiler lip and side skirts with it. Seems I remember it's in the $7000 range.

luv4pcar is infamous around these parts
I would love to get the 997 GT3RS wing on 996tt. I've checked Mashaw, Misha, Precision Porsche, and Vorsteiner, and none of them have it. The Vorsteiner GT3 wing on 997tt is nice. I wish they make it for 996tt as well.

That's not eaxctly like teh 997 wing, but is available and has been as original equipment. I'm not the biggest fan of that design.

We are in the process of working the '10 GT3 wing onto a 997 narrowbody. Our unspoken motto is "we aim to please" so if anyone in the LA area is willing to let us use your turbo to test fit and mold the wing, we'll HEAVILY discount the wing when completed for you. This will all be ironed out before the car is dropped off.

The details of the exchange program will be similar to this

If you're seriously interested, please drop me a pm
