I said Scott's opin was the only thing that mattered, and that he should not listen to my opin........what more do ya want?

Keep personal comments to ourselves?.....golly, that would elliminate about 80% of the posts wouldn't it?

Thanks for all the comments.

I didn't mean for it to be too misleading, but I was just demo driving it for the day.

I decided that, I like it, but it's not quite what we want. My wife would drive it primarily and she didn't like driving something that big.

We're now leaning towards a Cayenne S (my wife has no need for the turbo) or an X5 4.4.

I used to duck and goose hunt quite a bit, but now with the 15 month old girl, I don't as much so the off-road capabilities aren't as important. The golf cart still is important, so something a little narrower would be nice.

I got my wife the Expedition, she loves it, been rear ended twice, not even a scratch on the bumper!
We have two kids and just need the room, Cayenne just ain't big enough! However, the H2 is just too big for her and some of the narrow sidestreets around here. Looks good though!

Wow, talk about coincidence. My Expedition was rear ended while stopped at a light by a guy in a big 80's Caddy and he demolished his front end, while only pushing my trailer hitch in about an inch. I think it's the best full-size SUV for the $.

I don't understand how a sedan doesn't offer enough room if you only have two kids? If the family has hobbies that involve large equipment, I can understand the use of an SUV. If you said it's safer because a car can plow into it without damage done to your vehicle, I would also understand. However, I've seen how unsafe Ford SUV's are on the road to the occupants and to others.

That's why mercedes mount their bumpers on the ML's lower to match normal car levels. It reduces damage/insurance cost to other motorists.

Headlights and fenders can't match a bumper. Now try getting rear ended by another SUV with equal height bumper then we'll see what really happens.

It's that much easier to load strollers and such into an SUV with a large trunk. I also put gears like ice chests and backpacks on the floor of the back seat for them to have snacks and things on long trips. Sedans just don't have the space for it.
