Good source found for replacing defective Auto-Dim Mirror

I had the OEM Anti-dazel mirror which had begun to fail with the foggy/oily substance in the mirror display. Evidently the mirror's OEM Donnelly no longer warrants these mirrors and the replacement price from Porsche is pretty steep at $350+.

I found a source which has ability to repair these units for $75+shipping. They turned mine around in two days from time of receipt and now works great. Excellent experience. No affiliation just a satisfied customer.

PM me if you are interested in contact info.

I wasn't sure if that was OK since they aren't a board sponsor?

Can't PM, can you contact me?

I cannot PM yet with only 10 posts. Can you send me the link through PM if not posted to this thread. I need a mirror as well and as it is just partially opaque I hate to spend $350 for it. (I hate to spend that anyway, what am I saying!!)

Thanks,

Bill

They'll probably say it's maintenance, as you keep looking in it...

For the record, how did you get the mirror off of the windshield? How did you re-attach?

Just a warning. DO NOT LET IT LEAK. It will literally chew up the console below it -- it eats leather, plastic, whatever it hits.

Happened on my E46 M3. Totally destroyed the console. BMW had to replace darn near everything under CPO. They were not pleased, but they had recalled the mirror, so they were stuck.
