I am interest in both your comments. When you say you have trouble at WOT, how does the gear change feel - did you keep your put down, where you in D or M etc.

We tried 1-2 and 2-3 and it seemed okay. Not sure yet re 3-4 and 4-5 at WOT because I didn't reach that today.

What power were you both running approx?

A stock 996 tiptronic trans with brand new clutch packs won't hold 550hp. The shifts at WOT are way too lazy. It's something you have to live with. And I've just about had it. TCU upgrade doesn't help shifts with that much power. Keep the boost under 500 or so and you'll be fine with the TCU upgrde.

To run a 20g you need more then just a 5 bar FPR... so skip that...
18g with a 5 bar is good if you have k24s...
K16 then an AMS kit.

I do push my car hard sometimes, but I don't do it all the time; maybe that's why my tranny is still holding up (knocking on wood). My car dyno'd between 508-510 (3 pulls, before my last couple of mods) on AWD Mustang. I don't get that lazyness with my tranny either.

Guys,

Firstly I am going to fit a tranny cooler to the car in the next few days. I will post the results on that.

Secondly, I enquired with 9ff about their upgrade.

http://9ff.de/en/products/details.ph...d=3&relID=3352

The initial quote is for 7000 Euros. I am asking since they have not done this for any customer in the UK for a special price and wait to see what they come back with. They provide a guarantee (waiting to hear the details) and also it is rated to 800hp and 900 tq.

Maybe if they come down to 4000 Euros it might be worth it, because a new gearbox is around this, and that might not resolve the issues.

Has anyone else contacted them about this or had it done?

This is a quote from the email

'the gearbox is stripped down all internal gears are replaced with stronger ones and the gearbox is refreshed if needed i.e. new bearings etc, then the oil cooler accumulator and pump is mounted to the gearbox and the new gearbox radiator and all new pipes are supplies to mount this on the from of the car. '

Even our previous K16 setup made 560whp on 93 octane, our latest product, well we will see...

OP, click the link in my signature to the 600hp L2 package.
