New '03 TT
New '03 TT
I found a dealer who has a new(new never registered, 21mi on the clock) '03 TT w/ power kit, etc, etc
What's a fair offer seeing how they've had it for almost two yrs?

Alum kit (y06,x71),ss exhaustx54,power kitx50,crests,turbo aerokit xaf, supple leather, lumbar support seat, heated
Artic silver, black full int
Not sure of the list/msrp, not even sure it's relevant as the car is two yrs old and will depreciate 20k upon leaving the lot.
Only two yrs left on warranty or does that start when car is registered?

I agree on depreciation, but you have to factor in new car warranty. 03s regularly sell used for 95-100K. It's not a bad color combo by any means AND it is an X50. Not sure if the turbo aero kit is an expensive option. I bet that car has sticker scratching 150K. Kinda moot now that the 05 comes with the X50 pretty much standard,
If it was me I would think it was a steal for $105-110K. But then again, I would buy an 01-02 with 10K miles for 70-85K.
Here is a 2004 cab brand new for 128K. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...515978575&rd=1
What's a new 03 coupe worth? Really I don't know!

If that car is new, it will still have the full 4 year warranty.
One last thing. I am not sure if everyone here will agree but these cars definitely some value in the winter months. Imagine a $2000 per month lease or payment and the car is snowed in for the next 4-5 months. That's an automatic 10K off the purchase price in the winter in cold states.

The aerokit was a 7k option. I'm talking to the sales mngr in the am, will post .
Thought I would offer 90k, you never know, depends how bad they want to move the car.

my problem with buying a brand new 2003 TT is that IF & WHEN you want to sell it for any reason, its still a 2003. People dont care if you bought it new in 2005 or what. The approx. trade in value on that car is about 95,500 max. I would start from $90k and max out at $103K(KBB value for private party sale). After all, thats just my theory.
Anyway, good luck hunting

The warranty alone probably adds $3000 to the price, so at 100K or less you should do the deal assuming the full warranty is in effect. If the warranty is diminished then maybe they will certify it to provide a longer warranty. Assuming everything else, treat it like any low mile 2003 Turbo, which it is. There's not much difference really between 21 miles and 2100 miles. The options aren't worth much on resale although the dealer will try to convince you otherwise. Is the dealer local to us or ?
