Switchable power lead in trunk?

I am installing an amp and aftermarket subwoofer enclosure. I have 2004 bose with nav and sure would like to locate a switchable power lead in the trunk so that I don't have to go into the dash or through the firewall.
Is there such a thing?
Thanks,
Steve

Where are you tapping the high sub lines at? There are a number of line level converters the feature a amp turn on signal. Also a few amps can be switched on by the high level inputs, if you go that route.

Here is an example, but your local audio store should carry some that they can rep. EDIT: I have not used this unit, just an example. I got mine locally.

Interesting I did not know this. I have not bought a line level converter yet but do plan on using one for sure.

Alot depends on your amp. I would go with a amp that can use the high level inputs as the turn on. But I would find a nice local high end shop and ask them what amp to buy.
