Question for GT2 purchasing?
Question for GT2 purchasing?
Hi Guys I am new to this board, but been doing some reading at this board before stepping in and starting to ask question. I am in a market for a GT2 and knowing that some used 02/03 GT2 pricing been drop tremendously, just can¡¦t believed how soft the market is today. I am considering purchasing a new 03 GT2 because I like the option that come with the car, what is a reasonable pricing before tax should I offer excluding option pricing since the car been sitting at the dealership for sometime. Should I be better off getting a 02/03 used one with low mileage and save myself 40K. Thanks in advance!!
Thanks guys.........
Very hard decision indeed, 02 with low mileage is in 135-145K range now. But this 03 I am thinking of buying had almost everything options I wanted. It had full Carbon package, including Str wheel, Center Console, Door Sil. Everything option you can think of is Carbon. Also it has Full Dev Color stitch for the entire Int, Seats, Doors & Dash. Sport seats also painted to match, and so on. Is so nice, is very hard to resist. I think I should get it But again we all know first owner always take a big lost for sure, but can't help if you really like that car right.

I would LOVE to hear where you can find an '03 for 20K off list.
I've heard of 10K off list. So when i said 5k off -- I met 5K off NOT COUNTING OPTIONS. Probably about 10K the window sticker in your car.

Better hurry, the market is firming up on used GT2's. In fact, it's starting to go up.
Best bet is to find a private party that really needs to bail out of the car -- that's where the great deals can be found, IMHO.
The profit margin is much lower in a GT2 than a Turbo. Dealer only has $10K profit in a new GT2 plus a $5k hold back they'll get from PCNA 30-90 days following the sale. I'd be surprised if any dealer is willing to sell a new one and take a big hit, maybe no profit, but not a LOSS???
BTW, it's a great car -- get it equipped the way you want it, if possible.

Try Beechmont Porsche, they offered me one at 20k off about 4 months ago. They have three in stock right now if I am not mistaken and the two black ones have been there almost 9 months.
