1) luck
2) how patient you can be.

The pool of people who want a car like that badly enough to pay for a major chunk of the mods is so incredibly small. it either takes a lot of luck or a long time waiting to match the buyer and seller
Yes, the group is small but it definitely exists. Why be in a hurry. If I was in the market, it would have been gone by now. I would actually hate to see this car fall into the hands of someone who could afford the entry fee, but not the up keep.

i always start with that in mind but eventually cave, mostly due to opportunity costs and somewhat due to fear of further depreciation.

EDIT: and i generally just don't like unfinished business. when i decide to sell something, i want it sold.

Fred/Trojanman if you have noticed every thread on this board starts out with good intent and then turns into arguments and eventually becomes a joke. On MB World when a question is asked people either answer or it or dont get involved in the thread I dont regret not owning a Porsche due to that but I still surf this froum for the few good in between posts!

how is this an argument or a joke? we're having a discussion about selling modified cars. your post is the only one that is completely off topic

FineProperty is infamous around these parts
I have to say, I love that car too. The buyer for your car will have to be in the position to buy, and like it's modifications. Drawbacks for me would be that I need a back seat (but I love the stereo), the graphics would have to go, no tip for me, and, I just bought mine a month and half ago.

Freds car was one of the reasons I bought a Porsche .... too bad this was not for sale last year. It would have saved me a ton of money.

Why don't you return to stock. Many of the parts would bring a pretty penny. I'd like to buy some of it!

Well, I bought my first 260 AC Cobra for for $4,500.00. My 427 AC Cobra side oiler for $7,200 and my GT40 Mk II for $17,200. Recently, a Rentech CLK 60, only CLK six speed in the world, for $115,000.00. The Netscape/Opsware co founder I bought her from put over $250,000 into her. I bought her for $115,000.00. I guess the point is ....... most great cars have their low points.

If you are in a hurry to sell, then you probably shouldn't have bought it in the first place.

How do you post a classified on Rennlist? Do you have to be a member? If so, would any members please email me and post my ad for me? It would really help me out as I'm getting married in 3 months and trying to sell my car.

Thanks!
