Fidelity Platinum - worth it?

Are these aftermarket warranties worth the ~$1.2k/year?

Especially if you have 3rd party tuning?

I have it, but I just got the car so I can't speak to it. I got the dealer to come down in the price to cost +$100 so $2700 total for 3 years 36K miles. It does seem to cover quite a bit.

No. You are likely most concerned with a catastrophic failure, and they will look VERY hard to deny a claim. Heck, even a 2nd gear issue they might hassle you...

Well I purchased one from my local Porsche dealer here in Melbourne, FL. It's a 60K miles/6yr platinum for ~$3K on my 10k mile car. I had the sunroof implode, and after labor and parts to repair I've saved $2K in the first year... My gearbox has started randomly falling out of second gear.... If that requires repair I will have saved more than I spent.

I bought the 2yr/24k for $1374. Already, I've had to replace the rear spoiler hydraulics to the tune of $2200. That paid for my Fidelity warranty and then some.

I have the same rear spoiler problem and I'm taking it in. I hope they cover it. Clutch slave and accumulator are acting up as well. I hope they cover that too.

We'll see what happens.

Where do you guys purchase the Fidelity warranty?
Do you use Porsche Dealer only or can Indy shops be used as well?

despite all the hate im planning on purchasing one through my local porsche dealer. i consider it fairly cheap insurance for a vehicle of this caliber and what it costs for parts/unexpected repairs...

just cant decide between the 3yr 36k or the 4yr 48k...
