Help - what parts needed to mount lower point for 5-6 point harness?
I just installed a brey-krause harness bar but can't figure out whatparts do I need to mount the front part of the harness anti-sub (under front of the seat). I am using stock seats and a sparco 6 point harness.
Is this the part I need - 1 per seat?

Thanks for your help.

oh boy...where to start...sub belts and harnesses are meant to be used with a proper racing seat that has eyeholes for the shoulder belts and an opening in the seat for the sub belt...if you are in a frontal crash the stock seat will force the shoulder belts to spread and they will slip off of your shoulders...the sub belt will be ineffective since it will feed around the front of the seat...please...please, don't use a harness without the proper seat and roll over protection...you are a hundred times safer with the stock seatbelts that are designed to work with your stock seat and airbag
I agree with GT3 chuck on this one. If you're using a 5 or 6 pt harness, you need appropriate race seats that have both the shoulder strap holes and the sub mount hole. You need to also be sure that you mount that sub strap at a specific degree as well (based on the installation instructions that came with my sparco 6 pt harness). With stock seats and a 6 pt harness, you may be faster (as it may hold you in place better), but it will not be safer.
if you value your safety..these products are designed to work together in combination not separately...your harness bar and harness are not just useless, they are dangerous....without a proper seat (eyeholes for the shoulder belts and opening for sub belt)...even if you had a proper seat with the harness and harness bar you should be aware that you are risking your life in a rollover accident as the seat and harness will hold you erect while the roof of the car crashes down on your head...for safety purposes these items are intended to be used all together or not at all...and that means a roll bar w/ harness bar, 5/6 point harness and proper seat with eyeholes and sub opening...when shops sell these harness bars and harnesses I wish they would inform the buyer of the risks of using them without all the other necessary equipment....do a search...some guys on the forum have a source for an attachment to your seat belt that will hold you in much better than the stock belt alone..I'm sorry but I forget what they are called...I did a search and I believe they are called CG Lock..you want the performance one...

CG lock really does work to take up the slack. I was always told the same thing about harnesses and roll cages - not for the street.

Thanks guys - I do have the CG lock and it is better than nothing but certainly not enough. NOW - If I was foolish enough to ignore everyone's advise, would this be the part I need to get the connect the bottom of the harness to the front seat?

I was looking at them a while back and did a little research. I haven't heard anything bad about them.

AFAIK, all of the regions have adopted the rule. So, if you were to ignore everyone's advice, you would still not be allowed to use the 5/6 point for DE's, which I guess is the reason you want to install them.

Seat + Harness
OK so I now understand I MUST get the seats - Has anyone tried this brackets with the ROTEC seats? OR do I need any other bar or mount to get the harness mounted? Thanks again to everyone for the info.
which runs around $65-80 depending on where you buy it.
