Tips Gone RWD Wild
Any of ya'll with tips converted to RWD? If so, was there much difference? Please specify if you did standalone or with other mods at the same time. Thanks!!

I have done this mod have since changed my mind on how I feel. While the car WAS lighter, it was way out of control once you loose traction. Meaning: (with PSM off) if you start to loose it you can't simply depress the clutch to stop power to the wheels. This happened to me once on the track and once on the street. I was lucky not to hit another car or pedestrian. I recommend NOT converting to RWD on a tip.
I was seriously considering this mod however, only if there was an LSD available. Since there is none in the market I opted not to mess with it. The thought of running that much power with an open diff is scary!

I'd honestly stay AWD like Todd said!
I am currently making the switch to RWD as soon as I get the car to Steve Ott, but at my power level I'm on the verge of destroying pieces, plus with the drag pack for the track I run RWD anyway. Also at the power level I am at on 19" rims I have VERY big traction issues where with the PSM off the car will literly spin all 4 and it goes wherever the car wants to. It's almost put me in the guardrail a few times before. This doesn't happen just rolling into boost, but mainly when brake boosting really hard. I am a 6speed car and you can see my power numbers in the sig. So unless you are in that area I'm a BIG supporter of the AWD system. It can save your rear and you basically always have traction!

Just so you know, running an open diff is MUCH safer than running an LSD.
