That got your attention but no I'm not into public nudity or anything like that but after having spent a week with the GIAC Flash kit I'm simply loving it I've got all the files for us Porsche folks all on one laptop and all I need to do is sync up to the OBDII port. I'm so glad Garret came out with this kit. It's so much more fail safe than before where one had to physically solder etc... Also this way dealers will never need know you have an extra 100hp 'cos I flash you back to stock...

PS I can't wait to do Fred's new RS6!!! An extra 110 foot pounds of torque and 85hp....

Alex, are you sure about those HP/TQ numbers. If you look at the AWE Tuning website, the numbers are 515 HP and 517 TQ on 92 gas.

The B5 cannot be flashed unfortuntately, there is not enough room for the encryption on the EPROM. Revo has some way of doing that, but a lot of people are wary of them...

 

Have to put some thought in, see how much warranty I end up with/ have left etc...I'd also like the ability to switch back to stock at a moments notice either myself or have someone close by who can

Keep your ears posted. I think you will find that there are those that have the flasing for the B5s. It will be released soon.

 

Cool, that will be great if they figure out how to do it. Opening up my ecu and switching chips isn't fun .

 

Alex, my Land Rover needs a flash too. Stage III at least.
