I didn't see an introduction section, so I thought I would do it here. I'm a long time car and motorcycle enthusiast and I've always wanted a Porsche, but never owned one. I'm a Master Chief in the Navy and I work on gas turbines engines and controls, so I love to work on my vehicles. I would rather buy the tools to enable me to do the work instead of paying someone. I currently drive a 2007 BMW 335i coupe and have a turbocharged 2003 Suzuki Hayabusa. My wife makes me pull into the Porsche dealer every time we go past it so we can check out the stock. Yesterday I came upon a car that made me drool. It’s a 2001 turbo coupe with less than 19000 miles. The car is a one owner that was bought and serviced from my local dealer and traded in on a new 911. I thought it was a new car when I first saw it. I'm heading out later today to test drive it. I'm not sure if I'll buy it or not, but I'm heading down the road to become a 911 owner. I hope to learn much from the forums and I'm quite familiar with the search button, so I'll try not to ask any questions that have previously been beaten to death.
Welcome to the forum. I am sure that you will find 6speedonline, and other forums a wealth of knowledge.
Let me know if I can ever be of any help.

Welcome to the forum.
I have a 06 GSXR 1000. I can't fathom what a turbo Hayabusa would be like.

Welcome, I also did the turbo bike thing starting with the old turbo Kawi's in the 80's, then a turbocharged 94 GSXR1100, then a turbocharged Hayabusa when they first came out, then a turbo GSXR1000 when they first came out and have finally made it back full circle and dragrace a stroker GSXR1000. Go ahead and grab that car, you won't regret it...
I went and took it out for an hour and had some fun. Now we're talking price. I looked at the original build sheet and it was 120,000. They are asking 48,000, so I'm looking to get them lower. The car is like new, only 18834 miles and they have a full service history. Would 45 be fair?
Start at 40. The answer is always No unless you ask.
I'm sorry, I skimmed over you OP and missed the fact you in the Armed Forces. Thank you sir for your service to our country! It and you are greatly appreciated.

I'd offer $42k. They may try to meet you in the middle. Good price @ 45k for one with LOW miles!
oh and BTW, thank you for your service to Our country!
Welcome and it sounds like you found a Virgin. Make a low offer and meet somewhere in between. All they can say is NO!
It should be a CPO car with an additional warranty. if it is not, then that is a good bargaining point. Also, check the tires out. I failed to do this and mine were nearly worn out. Another good bargaining point.
