ahh,, very true. All I know is the 996 GT2 is way better looking than the 997TT or GT2, but that is just a matter of taste, mine to be specific.


As for the new motor, DrJ, yes, you are correct, however, most owners will not mod their new car, so if they can get one that pushes near 10 second 1/4 stock, they will get it. Manual trans is a drivers car trans. The new turbo is a mechanical marvel. Does it all for you. Probably even comes with a bidet.

Well comparing a 997 GT2 vs a 997TT, at about 900hp on both, the GT2 consistently blew the MPSC's right off, and still did 5.3's. With DR's or slicks you will have better times, of course...

 

DR's on what rims?

 

Well basically anything that is light and fits the tire size you wish, our shop GT2 has Conti VMax's on it now, which are a lot harder compound than a MPSC or PS2.

You could go with skinnies up front and big fats in the rear, just watch for the rain....
