Driving without the front wheel housing liner

My front wheel housing liner came loose(somehow) on the expressway yesterday and I absolutely ripped it to shreds. I had to remove it completely so I could drive. Just want to make sure it is OK to drive the car until I can get it replaced.

Thanks

Just watch out for road debris hitting the radiator.

If it snows again, don't drive it with road salt on the road...it's a pain to wash it out from under the fender.

Fdorn, did you replace this yourself? My front driver side is cracked. Do you remember where you got the replacement from and how much it ran you? Thanks!

I got one from Suncoast. Don't recall for sure, but I think it was around $140. Very easy replacement.

You will run the risk of small stones getting thrown up and creating inverted dings.

Sorry - I had it replaced at a shop and the whole thing was only a couple hundread.

I would not drive it cracked - you are better off pulling it out completely. The plastic can cut up your tire if it comes lose.

There is a risk of driving when the liner is removed and EP suggests.

Here is a pic of my damaged liner on drivers side (I actually need both sides). Suncoast comes up with this part for the replacement, does this look like the right piece to you guys? Thanks!
