"spec clutch"
gt2rs6 I have the CM stg 3 & it seems to be holding fine. Keep in mind I have not put many miles on it since the clutch install (~500mls),but it dynoed ~700 ft/.lbs of torque(before new IC's & re-tune) & it seems to be holding fine.
thanks for the quick respomse paulie... which one do you have though the 8 puck stg3 or the full face? im looking to be making about the same power as you in the future and id like to only change the clutch once.. i dont want to get full face if its not gonna hold... and i dont want to get 8 puck if its annoying to drive.. thanks

I had the 8 puck CM disk. I have a regular disk now, but CM upgraded my pressure plate with more spring ressure to hold the power. I have been at 600whp and 650+wtq for over a year on this clutch and it has been holding fine. Many dragstrip passes and 60-130's too. Just tell CM what you have and they will give you what you need.
CM said that stage 3 which is a 3900lb(one of the options) pressure plate with a fibre tough full disk will hold 800+ to the wheels. Dan at vivid runs it in his 997 plus they have a great special right now also. I told him if it won't hold I'll find him
Got it through my indy, but that's pretty much what I have...
8-puck clutch, dont they chatter? my 4 puck was chatting way too much. my denture would of fallen off if i still have the clutch

paulie u think clutchmaster can beef up my pressure plate?
Send them your PP and FW and they can beef up PP and resurface BOTH so you have a nice clean surface to start with.
I would call Clutch Masters direct & describe your car & it's HP level, allow them to give you there best product for your needs.
Just get a Tilton ^^ Get the twin dist because they can hold up to 1100 tq to the wheels depending on the material of the discs. The replacement discs are about $200 shipped from a Tilton dealer and if you can drive it, they should last about 15k miles. You can do anything with that clutch you please, just redline and dump it for a perfect launch
I'm pretty sure that that aasco builds the flywheels for tilton clutches as well so they will all mesh together nicely. Spend the money once and do it right man.
I'm in the process of building my second 900 whp Audi S4. The only clutch I would ever recommend to anyone with this type of power is a Tilton with an AASCO flywheel. This combination on my previous S4 was absolutely phenomenal. I put about 13,000 miles on the clutch with about 100 launches. After pulling the motor, I inspected the clutch and it looked like the day I got it. On average, twin disc clutches from Tilton last anywhere from 15-25k miles including daily driving. This may strike concern to most people, but this is actually great. The life of Tilton discs are just slightly less than that of any pucked clutch disc, not to mention it costs like GT3Gavin said, about $200 for new discs.
Give AASCO a call, they'll lead you in the right direction.

after 2 motors in 6 months tilton is out of my budget. the wife would kick me out of the house. im trying to see if i can salvage my sach motorsport after all it got only 1800-2000 miles on it
