From a stock 996 tt... to it's final stages of modding.

Since stock I have done the following, i would like your guys input in what to address before i make my final list of modifying the car, their has to be an end to it !. Also, what do you guys suggest in removing weight but still keeps the OEM look. I know i do not have coilovers listed but that is something i'm waiting on to decide what route to go with. Mosly waiting on Dez. I'm putting up the list so i can get suggestions of perhaps somethings i have over seen, that would be a good idea to mod. The car is my DD and Track car.

Currently Have:

-997 SSK
-Gt3 seats
-Straight pipes
-Gt2/3 front control arms
-MBarts Rear solid control arms.
- c4s front lip
-UMW flash
-Dry cell battery
-gt2 front brake ducs
-6 pot brakes,
-350mm rotors all around
-no rear seats
-rear wiper delete
-UMW Lwfw
-Ruf springs
-Rear bumperrets removed
-stainless steal brakelines
-black wheels
-clear corner
-chrome bulbs but flash yellow
-black turbo badge
-eibach sway bars f/r

Future mods:

-MBarts front solid bushing steer links- hopefully on my hands by this week !
-MBarts fixed rear wing. (top secret hehe)- Hopefully this will help a lot of people with hydralic rear failures, and for pp wanting to save weight like myself but keeping stock deck!
-OZ wheels
-Semi-solid Motor mounts
-front downforce lip
-intercoolers
-remove front bumper shocks
-rear diffuser
-rear subframe brace mbarts

For the track I would use some Pagid pads or something similar & 5 point harnesses.

The rest looks good, unless you are going to bigger turbos.

Buddy, first- nice to see you back here . I already have Pagid RS-19s front and RS 15s black on the rear. But pads i consider wear and tear

Dez and myself are working on one for ours cars. Not sure if theirs a market for it, and i don't have the intensions of selling it. Plus i'm not a sponsor.

Enrique, you only have two engine mods? Flash and exhaust?

I wonder what your car would run in the 1/4 mile..... 12.0 @ 119?

great list for footwork, giving me some ideas...

think going with CF or FRP composite doors would save a lot of weight. Not sure if there're any are avaialble which provision for all fixings, power windows and stuff. and not sure how much difference this may make in side impact situations. Most doors have a side crash bar inside of them.
Front bonnet to lightweight material, though not sure how heavy orig is. (997 one is alum)
on track days remove spare tire n rear seats
someone recently asked about lexan rear window...
How about a hard tranny mount - gbox is offering one but it's noisy =)

Looks good without rear bumperettes. Did you have to fill holes and repaint the bumper when you took them off?

if you're not planning for more power, weight reductions is what you're looking for. Your list look good, which OZ wheels are you planning to get?

For more front down force, we have CF aero lip available and that will add down force and only weight 3lbs! Let me know if you interest.

I met F1crazydriver @ ThunderHill track last Friday.. And all I got to say that his car is wicked fast... He came down the front straight faster than anything out there that day, and not only does it goes straight fast, that puppy can turn.. And it doesn't help that he is an insanely fast and good driver! Very cool to have met him and his ride!! I need to score me a ride in it next time down!

Enjoy in good health!
