Guy's I have an opportunity to get a pair of factory GT3 leather Recaros at a great price.... I currently have a basalt X50 with black interior, heated sports seats, and red belts.

I am thinking of installing just one Recaro for the drivers side, and keeping the passenger side sports seat. My thinking is that most passengers will prefer the adjusatability and heated element, whereas I want more support and the lower driving position.... one and one and everyones happy....

Only issue is will it look rubbish running different seats Whats the 6sp opinion on this, has anyone done it and if so can they post pics ? Thx !

 

that's the setup i have, my gf loves it :-) i only switch the passenger side to gt3 seat on track days (easy 15min job)

I doubt it will look too bad, and if you buy both seats you can certainly do what 996Choy mentioned and even them out for other occasions. Good luck!

Good to hear its an easy switch.... Ideally I would retain the heated element with the Recaro and I know theres been a DIY about it here in the past, but I think I'll have to slum it and live without a warm derriere

 

Take all the seat out except for the drivers side. Less weight...no distractions.

won't give the best look but the ladies will welcome the idea. you can always change the seats later on to find the config that suit you most.
