Fault Codes After Installing Vivid's Racing Throttle Body, T-Plenum & 3 Inch YPipe
#17
Spoke to a few customers about their TB/Plenums. Definitely not the YPipes. It appears that the gasket between the TB and Plenum flange we machined is not getting a good seal. Not sure if this is the case on ALL or just a couple. Eitherway we are looking for a solution.
So jalmood - trying pulling apart the TB/Plenum and making a gasket for it that seals. Let us know your updates.

2 Reinsert te key and turn the ignition on to position 2 for 60 seconds,do not touch the pedal
3 Turn the key off for 10 seconds,do no touch the pedal
4 The throttle is now redapted

This must be the formal procedures; I really don't think I waited for that long. I guess the 60 seconds are to ensure the pitchy sound to be completed.
Thanks

Had issues after installing mine, been a while now so I forget all the codes the car threw but my problem was the TB not sealing to the plenum. The oring on the plenum was either painted or powdercoated with the plenum so it could not do its job. When I took it apart the leak was obvious on the face of the TB and when I took the oring out it just disintegrated. I made my own gasket and put everything back together and its been problem free for 2000mi.
