ok i got a 996 turbo s.. with a gt2 front on it.. and i now got a gt2 with a 997 front on it.. im putting the 997 front on my turbo s.. and the gt2 on the gt2.. , im told its easy and i got a guy doing the job i dont need any parts and the job should be done by friday.. i will put photos up of the car befor a after.. let me know what you think..

Great looking cars but i'm not sure its going to get a straight forward switch.

 

i will put photos up of the cars done.. friday.. the gt2 come in last week lovely car,, but i was told by 911 uk that its devaule the gt2 by 10k.. so thats why im doing the swap.. and i wil end up with a 997 front for free.. all i need to pay for is labour.. witch will be 1800 uk pounds,,, at the mo im driving a 1.2 corsa .. roll on friday..

 

i did my home work befor the swap.. its a hamann kit,, wings bumper and lights.. just bolt on .. the place thats doing the work have done a few of these ,, there work is good and they did the black gt2 last year.. for the gt2 to fetch good money i need it to be a gt2. i should get 50k + for it then..

 

picked the car up today , im well happy i think it looks great.. they done a super job.. what do you think,,?

have seen some 997 front end conversions that use OEM porsche parts. this one's got a pretty cool fuel cap.

anyone have photos of a 997 gt2 front end conversion?

 

Looks nice. I like it and I like the gt2 look.

How do the turn signals, fogs, and all that work...and any difference in feel at high speed...is the downforce still there?

And, can you put a gt3 or other (see gmg site) lip on the new front end.

wonder if dimensions of the kit are exactly the same as oem on the bottom side of bumper. believe top side, it's matched to a flat edged 996 bonnet.
