The manthey inlet looks nice. wonder how much it costs and what a front corner angle full car shot looks like.

This EDO comp one isn't bad either but of course requires quite a bit of additional periferal parts...

The inlet on the 997 looks bigger than the 996 right? (not digging the carbon styling cues on the new gt2RS btw) Aren't splitters to help cut/direct turbulent airflow in order to speed up air along pathways? All variables constant; a larger sized inlet would see higher turbulence? Under this assumption, appears an even lesser case for splitters in the 996.

on topic of inlet temps, noticed my IAT temps went down a lot after installing a decklid with GT2 type decklid inlets.
