I work about 10 minutes away from Pasadena, so I might take you up on that. Tire rack recommends them, and I am interested in trying them out.

Pagid black 4-2-1 no comparo all around pads. Quiet, excellent cold bite, good modulation.

Basically TireRack sells them for $165 not shipped. I'm willing to let these go for $100 shipped as long as someone is willing to write a honest review.

I have the Hawk pads for my GT3 - I will use for street only. As soon as my oem pads wear out. I have used Hawk on the track and They dont produce same stopping power. I like the low dust. I have not used them because the new GT3 setup came with Pagid pads. However the pagid (non track pads - but painted yellow) are great - low dust as well.

I don't use anti-vib-squeel inserts as well. Just a little bit of "brake quiet" and they produce no noise and stop on a dime. Plus easy to flip out pads for DE days...GT3 calipers better then oem - even for the street - Turbo is under calipered on the front anyway.

For the street only I like Hawk... low dust stops fine. Under lots of breaking De events they dont do as well.. but never let me down.
Keep a track pad for your DE days. Hope this helps

Where do you apply the "Brake Quiet" and how long does it last with the extreme heat? Does it work for track use?

I applied Brake Quiet between the acutal pad and the factory metal backing plate. It's made by CRC and I bought it from Autozone. I put about 3000 miles on the car and it's holding up so far. I don't track my car so I couldn't help you there.

Looking around at the prices, Autohaus AZ has Textar (OEM) 996 Turbo pads for $92.03 & $118.66 per set.

Cool

Cool Carbon or Red Stuff are the way to go at least five times better than OEM in my opinion
