Any pics of the stock 997t wheels on 996t,
Thanks for the info, but nothing solid for an answer,
gathered that close as possible <1%..and maybe front slightly bigger than rear,...also spacers needed for rear...anything else??
my opinion is that you can run 235/35or40/19 in front and 305/30or25/19 with spacers in the rear but not to sure...

Your wheel diameter [height] (check tire specs) needs to be under 25.5'' to be safe, although some report no problems with 26'' (which is stock height for 997, NOT 996). You also need the diameters on the front and rear to be within 3/12 to be safe with respect to ratio, otherwise it causes excess heat and wear on your diff.
I'm putting the 19'' 997tt rims on my 996tt and ideally will be running 225/35/19 in fronts (25.2'' diameter) and 315/25/19 in rears (25.2'' diameter). These sizes match perfectly with ratio, so no wear on the diff, and the ride height is under 25.6'' which will eliminate any risk of rubbing.
Finally, check your offsets on your exact wheels, but you should not need any spacers. Getting the right tire size is what is important here. I know others here are running stock 997tt tire sizes, but I guess that's really not advised as even if it doesn't rub, it is putting extra wear on the differential and could cause premature failure. Maybe not, but I'm playing it safe for now.

Im thinking of doing the same thing right now. 19" aftermarket wheels on my 996TT. Has anyone had both the 18" and 19" set up on their car? Im very curious as to how the ride quality changes when the side wall shortens up so much. Anyone have any input on this one??
Thanks, Eric
