I would never let a valet park my turbo.

You roll up to an office/business event with many business associates and colleagues there, you dont want to look like a pompous jerk or cheap bastard that is too good for the valet service that EVERYONE else used no problem. I dont really care what the casual onlooker thinks but i do care what colleagues and higher ups may think.

No Valet for this one; Everyone drives a manual differently and some can't at all. I will park it or change establishment.

The valets around Seattle are pathetic. My dad would never let them drive his car.

No Way Valet

It's the car not the money. I respect other people who park their own high end cars; I assume they care more about their car than they do saving the two minutes to park their own car.

I valeted my 500hp S4 on valentine's day a few years ago. Big ****ing mistake! The kid goes WOT in 2nd gear and bumps the curb right as I was there! I had not entered the restaurant yet. I *****ed like crazy and got the owner on the phone.

Umm, no.

I have no one to impress or to get the wrong idea of me, and I don't trust anyone other than friends and family with the Turbo, so I park my own.

I think it's possible they or anyone could think how stupid to let a valet park a nice car like that, don't they know better? Moreover, who cares what others think?

I guess i'm a bit naive to think a valet could drive just about any street car with 4 wheels, but it seems i'm quite wrong. Just dont want to give off the "holier than thou Porsche guy" vibe. A valet that cant drive a sports car is like a paramedic that cant stand the sight of blood - what business does that guy have thinking he can do the job?? Especially at a country club? I learned my lesson.

Paramedics are trained. Valets are usually high school or college boys. There are very few "good valets". I'll never do it as I have seen first hand what happens with nice cars and careless valets.

I always try to avoid valet's as much as possible however, there are some places where you have no choice. It’s all about the money. If you absolutely must I say tip them a $10 or $20 upon pulling up and ask them to keep the car up front for you. They usually will and usually will not charge you the valet fee if there is one. Has worked well for me in the past.

A Valet needs to have the ability to drive the car without screwing it up AND the motivation to drive it properly. There is a long and storied history of valets deliberately driving customers cars negligently, either as a result of trying to damage the car or as a result of driving it too quickly etc.

If you park your Porsche away from all the other cars and in one space v two, no one could logically view that as holier than thou. If they do, it is all on them and it's their issue NOT yours.

Send off good vibes, say hello to people no matter their standing and genuinely be thankful for all you have and try not to boast. Being a good person shows BUT it still won't matter what other people think. Don't feel guilty for being fortunate and don't forget that others will always feel differently than you, no matter what you drive good or bad.

Enjoy the great car.

Where I live a Porsche or Benz is not a big deal. Everyone has nice cars. I still think my Porsche and Benz are special because I had to work my butt off to get them so I take special care of them.
