Seat and Wheel comfort questions
What's the word peeps. So I am trying to figure out how to make my fitment in the drivers seat of my 01TT more comfortable. I am 6' 4" and weigh just under 250. I have been as low as 220 lbs while driving it though, and still have the same problem, so keep that in mind. I have sport seats currently and feel that either I'm not sinking far enough into them, or they just are not wrapping around me as much as I think they should. I drive with the seat at max length extended back, and with a 35-40% recline. I feel like my knees are still too close to the steering wheel and am constantly bumping it with them. So I feel like things can e improved for me a bit while driving, comfort wise at least. It is also a six speed. So on to my question.
Other big guys, do you feel the same way? How have you learned to deal with it with your stock setup, or if not, what aftermarket solutions did you look at to solve similar problems? What might I be overlooking if not? Am I just being too picky? Being a big guy in smaller cars has always been something I've had to deal with TBH, so not sure if thats just what I need to keep doing, but I would like to know if there are options out there for me to change this if I want to. My E36M3 ****pit for example is also small for me, but I can get it setup to the point where it feels just a step ahead in room/comfort. People in the know: What steering wheels and seats might help improve this?
Thanks for reading and your insights!

Justin,
It seems like you graduated from the M3 into Porsches!

We've helped guys set up their vehicles for the track including getting the seating position right - which can mean a lot when you're attacking the corners and need ample room to flick the hands left to right.

I recommend checking out Recaro and Status seats which offer larger seating areas so that you can slide in and out easily.
We can help get the right seat for you! PM me if you have any questions!

That looks just like what I should do. Thank you very much for sharing and taking the time to get some pics. Are there any drawbacks to using an extension on the steering wheel like that? Steering is still solid and secure? Sorry if that's a silly question, I didn't know devices like that were available.

Thanks a lot, yes I did! The M3 is still holding up well, its nice contrast between the two. Thanks for the info, I am not ready to go down that road just yet, but I'll make sure to talk to you when I do. Thanks again!
