I need to put some miles on it to see if I can trigger the ABS/PSM warnings while moving though, as I have only been able to put about 10 miles on the car today after the cleaning. That being said, my Durametric is triggering them every time I have it access the ABS module. I get the warnings on the dash, but Durametric software is not putting up any codes. Shutting off the car and restarting it will clear them...until I check that module under Durametric again. I have seen this with both version 5.x and 6.x. I'm thinking I've done my due diligence as far as my capabilities and it might be time to have it looked at by a professional. I'll probably see if driving it around in the next few days gives me any codes, and go from there. Any further thoughts are appreciated, will keep you guys posted. Thanks again.

Hi Justin,
Just a quick one, My Durametric does the same (on my car and the others that have been on it)for the ABS module. It must be one of thoses things not to worry about using it.
Frank.

Frank, good to know. I'll stick to my driving tests and see where it goes from here then. Muchas gracias!

I have this PSM/ABS problem too after putting on 997tt wheels and I'm thinking its my tire sizes (I have 235/35/19 PS2's and 315/25/19 Nitto Invos). I have already reset the steering angle sensor, and that did not fix it. My tire sizes are 3/12'' off, which is supposed to be in spec, but still perhaps off enough. Further, my rears are nearly new and the fronts are perhaps 70% good, so that could affect the diameter even more. This diameter difference is what I'm thinking sets off my PSM around turns, as it probably screws up rotation enough to make the PSM think the wheels are slipping when they are not. I only have PSM go off around a turn at moderate + speed, not in a straight line.

Please add if you have any updates. I'm searching the archives here. I need to fix this PSM problem, it's driving me nuts and is actually quite dangerous.

Update for you, I am still working on my own solution right now. Very annoying problem, probably going to have to throw some more $ at it and I am just waiting for some extra change to do that. I've tried cleaning my maf, replacing my tires (went to stock sizes front and back), alignment. What I have not tried yet but will be consulting my mech about: wiring harness replacement, PSM control module replacement, cleaning the throttle body. The last one I was informed worked for another member and apparently was relatively low cost.

Hi Justin,
You say you have cleaned the MAF, but have you tried a new one...???
Could be Duff and cleaning is no use!!
Using your Durametric you can log the MAF readings first. It should be about 30 to 50 ish on idle and should go up as you rev the engine. Try making a log and post it on here. There are plenty of Durametric Techno's who will help.

Hey Frank, thanks for keeping on top, yea I am dragging my feet about getting this problem resolved. I should have been more clear, I did plug my durametric in and watch my maf readings as I increased engine RPMs. It was a one time thing, so I am not sure what guide I used to do it. I'll give it another run to double check. Thanks again.

Ok time to add some closure to this thread. I had my car in the shop last month for a issue not mentioned here (leaking pentosin). I had my brake light sensor replaced. Since then I have had no re occurrence of the ABS/PSM error. Why I was not getting any messages or warnings about the brake light sensor at the time of post, who knows, but I am glad the problem was found and at this point appears to be resolved. This also ties into the other issues I listed above. The fast blinking light was fixed by cleaning the contact points on the headlight, and I think I have already mentioned that the ignition switch was replaced and it fixed issues 1 and 2. Thanks everyone who lent some input and advice!

When you are talking about the brake light sensor do you mean the brake switcj mention in this thread? http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...28#entry196428

I will keep this in mind. I think the problem is still there for aggressive driving for me. Brake light sensor, really?

The ABS/PSM lights usually go off together. I guess because maybe when the ABS has a problem the PSM won't wort properly?

A couple of months ago I had the ABS/PSM lights turn on together on my car right after I started up the engine, this happened every time along with an error appearing, I took it to the dealer and it was a faulty MAF sensor. I would check that first along with any other thing you might do.
