z99 is infamous around these parts
I have a X50 and have GAIC flash. Car has full Fabspeed exhaust and the necessary wastegate adjustment for X50. Do not sense any issues with smoothness, but I have no experience with other programs. Car put out 507 hp on dyno. What I have experienced is heat soak problems at track where ecu cuts back. Using 100 octane fuel helps. The other thing I notice is that boost comes on sooner with stock program. With flash I get higher boost, but it comes on later. In other words, at full throttle I get higher boost numbers with flash, but later. Therefore less torque at lower rpms. Probably need ICs for heat soak. With 100 octane, car puts in consistent fast lap times. Faster then stock program. With pump gas, 93, ecu starts pulling back and lap times start rising with every pass.

could it be that you are seeing the same boost at lower rpm's but you end up going higher in boost so you feel the lag more now?

Buy it in 5 gallon can from a local gas station. GIAC feels that Sonoco 104 is at least comparable to the other brand's 109.

Sunoco has nice retailer finder on their site but it's very hard to navigate. I pay $65 for 5 gallons. Probably not the best deal, but it's convenient.
