I just upgraded my turbos to a28s (old version). I had a evo gt700 kit (older kit). The new software has been in for a week and I have some issues with it. Why did u trade in your Giac?

what have they changed that you need to upgrade? I bet that their programming has not changed much if at all. The few people I know that had it did not like it, but Ari on this forum is fine with it.

I believe they are constantly updating their tune. Mine never felt smooth, and I found a dealer that upgraded me to the latest version free of charge. Call GIAC, they are pretty good to work with. At the end of the day, I ended up going with epl for a variety of reasons, particularly since they have a great "trade in" program, and I'm likely going to do a 16g in the near future.

Agree with that.... although Ari is close by GIAC and I believe went in for a custom session. That's a big difference compared to most others' off the shelf tunes from them.

I acquired my car with a GIAC stage 2 tune... didn't realize rough that thing was until I drove someone else's car and then got my EPL tune.

EVOMS used to use GIAC for their GT700 kits and have now switched to their own EVOMSIT tune, so maybe that's the direction you should head. I'm sure if you ask either Alex (Sharkwerks) or Todd at EVO they can tell you why they went away from GIAC and developed thier own. Also Steve, I know you're in NoCal, it may be worth driving down to Sharkwerks this weekend and talking to them both in person since Todd and the EVOMS crew are doing their Tour and this weekend they'll be there at Sharkwerks https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-all-week.html

im quite a fan of giac, they too have a trade in program like mentioned above, they take whatever price you already paid and subtract it from the price of whatever upgrade you are purchasing. they have been flashing cars since the old chip tuning days. i feel more comfortable with a company that is tried and tested than with most of the newer companies. ive flashed at least a hundred cars at my shop with GIAC, we sold revo for a while and went running back to giac. the quality of their flashes and dealer/customer support is excellent. people always talk about one flash being smoother than the other or making a few more horsepower, but most of it comes down to the setup of the car and how you drive it. i have yet to have a customer come back to have me evacuate a flash, in my opinion that speaks for itself more than my personal experience with all my cars, which has also been great.

I spoke with Austin at GIAC and he was very helpful. My GT2 has an early tune and the pump gas mode was giving me trouble. Austin said that they have a updated tune for my car and GIAC would update my ecu for little or no cost. I have been a little busy but I will be taking him up on the offer shortly.

Great customer service.

J.
